We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Mayor Hazel McCallion yesterday, January 29th at the age of 101.
Hurricane Hazel was the Mayor of Streetsville from 1970-1973 before the Village amalgamated to form the City of Mississauga. Your “Village in the City” will miss you dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hazel’s family at this time.
The public is invited to pay their final respects to former Mississauga Mayor, Hazel McCallion through Books of Condolences available throughout the city.
Books of Condolences will be available for public signing starting on Monday, January 30 at 10 a.m. They will be available at Mississauga City Hall and the following community centres:
