Blissful Release by Vivian Rosas is not just another rainbow road! This is what joy in the 2SLGBTQ+ community looks like! Folks of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, steeped in a rich culture of creative communities finding joy through dance. This mural was inspired by the joys of coming together as one, dancing and showing off what you got. Feeling seen and validated by those around you. Imagining the magical places where 2SLGBTQ+ folks are able to come together to share in safe space, where they can blissfully release and feel like their true selves without fear of judgement. Moving together, crashing to the same beat, finding our joy and pride for who we are no matter what that is. Each so different, yet finding ourselves in community, with our chosen families in one place and feeling held. These are spaces 2SLGBTQ+ folks need more than ever. This piece is a celebration of the differences that make us stronger together. 🌈

A time-lapse video of the creation of the mural will be shared when it is complete and the location of the mural was selected through a public site selection survey. So keep an eye out for the installation of the this beautiful mural in our Streetsville Village Square, which began on June 8th and is estimated to be completed by June 28th! 💖
