ImagineAR’s Virtual Santa now available in homes across Canada

Mississauga, ON – “Santa arrived in downtown Streetsville!”  Santa is available for in-home virtual visits using the ImagineAR™ app.

This visit from Santa Is a safe, socially-distanced way to connect and share the holiday season in new and innovative ways with households across Ontario.

This initiative is a spin off from the augmented reality walking tours in the historic village of Streetsville in Mississauga.

Amber Pajtasz, General Manager of the Streetsville BIA stated. “With the news of a province-wide lockdown to combat COVID-19, we pivoted this project to encourage everyone to download the ImagineAR app and take photos with Santa from the safety of their own homes. People can enter their contact details for a draw to win $100 Streetsville dollars to be at any of our local businesses.”

“The RIC Centre is delighted to bring technology innovators like ImagineAR together with local BIAs to support local business,” said Pam Banks, Executive Director of RIC Centre.

Alen Paul Silverrstieen, President and CEO of ImagineAR, states “Our augmented reality platform is ideally suited to quick pivots like this one. We are happy to lend our experience and expertise to this community project to bring joy and creativity into households across Canada as we all look for safe, socially-distanced activities this winter.”

The FREE ImagineAR app is available for download to mobile devices on both the App Store and Google Play.
