Halloween in The ‘Ville

The air grows crip and the leaves on the trees are changing colour, signaling the arrival of spooky season. We’ve got a parade of Halloween events for you to take part in starting with the annual Streetsville Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt.

Scavenger Hunt | October 19 – 31

Grab your little monsters and walk the Village looking for spooky decals on shop windows. Mark them on your ballot and drop it off at the BIA for a chance to win a prize basket. For full rules and to download the printable map, click here.

Streetsville Spooktacular | October 27th 12 – 4pm

Dress up and join us at The Vic Johnston Community Centre for a free family event. Get your face painted, create some creepy crafts, get a weird hairdo, or even a (temporary) tattoo! Rock out to hair raising music by local bands and take photos with your crew. For more information on Streetsville Spooktacular, visit our event page.

Pumpkin Parade in The Pollinator Garden | November 1st

When Halloween is over, bring your jack-o-lantern for a last hurrah at the Streetsville Pollinator Garden. Line your unpainted, carved pumpkins along the garden and put a candle inside. Walk the garden and see the pumpkins lit up one last time before they are recycled.
The pumpkin parade will begin at dusk. The garden is located at 280 Queen St. S.

And don’t forget, if you’ve got gently used kids costumes, donate them to our costume drive in support of Armagh House. We will be collecting children’s costumes from now until October 27th. Click here for details.

Happy Halloween boys and ghouls!
