SUMMARY:Streetsville’s Historic Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:\nStep back in time and discover the rich heritage of The Village in the City. Where heritage thrives and community grows.\nThe popular Streetsville Historic Walking Tours return for the 2026 season, running from mid-May through mid-October. With Streetsville proudly designated as a Heritage Conservation District, there has never been a better time to explore this vibrant heritage destination and uncover the layers of history that define our village.\nLed by local historian Richard Collins, these guided walking tours invite you to discover the highest concentration of historic buildings in Mississauga. Along the way, you’ll hear compelling stories of the people who lived, worked, and built this community, while visiting notable landmarks such as the Montreal House, Timothy Street House, Abigail Street House, The Franklin House, Streetsville United Church, Streetsville Memorial Cemetery, and the Streetsville Cenotaph.\nFrom its origins as forested land in the early 1800s, through its growth as an industrial mill town, to its present-day role as a thriving hub for small businesses and community life, Streetsville’s past comes alive with every step.\nTours run approximately 1.5 hours, though participants are welcome to join or leave at any point. The tours are free, and no pre-registration is required. Each tour begins at the clock in the Village Square (Queen St. S. and Main St.). Please arrive on time, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water. Cameras are encouraged—Streetsville offers plenty of picturesque moments. Guests are welcome to ask questions and connect with fellow community members throughout the tour.\nTo see where each tour will take you, visit our event calendar and select the dates below.\nTHE 2026 HISTORIC WALKING TOUR SCHEDULE:\nWednesday, May 27 | 7:00pm – 8:30pm\nWednesday, June 17 | 7:00pm – 8:30pm\nSunday, July 12 | 10:00am – 11:30am\nWednesday, July 29 | 7:00pm – 8:30pm\nSunday, August 9 | 10:00am – 11:30am\nWednesday, August 26 | 7:00pm – 8:30pm\nSunday, September 13 | 10:00am – 11:30am\nWednesday, October 21 | 7:00pm – 8:30pm\n
