She is a Desjardins Insurance Agent, a Chinese Community Leader, and a Community Advisor for the United Way. Born in China, she taught at University in Beijing before going to the USA for her PhD. She immigrated to Toronto in 1997,  later settling in Streetsville. Despite her background in science, she jumped into sales as a State Farm Agent.
