Historic Window Contest Starting in February, browse through the Village to view the window diplays created to celebrate our 150th birthday. BIA members are joining in the birthday fun by decorating their windows with old pictures, prints, paintings, and memorabilia of Streetsville adding a photo every month through to August. Judging will take place in August and the winner announced on September 13th. So come on out and take a trip down memory lane. CANDLELIGHT WALKING TOUR, Friday August 22nd 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. This is one of the most popular tours to take but no pre-registration is required. Candles are provided. Meet in front of the Streetsville Florist, 265 Queen Street South |

TAKE A STROLL BACK IN TIME
Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Queen Street in Streetsville will be closed to traffic and the celebration will begin!(see road closure details below) Horse & wagon rides, a quilt show, children's games, blacksmith demo, guided walking tours of the Village and Credit River, BBQs, pony rides, farmers' market, live bands, afternoon tea, book signings, story time, food tasting, a vintage car show, an anniversary cake and the unveiling of commemorative and interpretive plaques. An old fashioned double decker bus will be available to shuttle people from the GO Station to various stops. The celebration will wrap up with a dance at the Royal Canadian Legion. Streetsville's own 15 piece Big Band will be playing tunes from days gone by from 7 - 11 p.m. Streetsville,the place to be on September 13th Road Closures for Sept. 13th 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Queen Street from Thomas to Ontario St. Ontario Street west from Queen St. William Street south from Ontario St. Main Street from Queen to Church St. Pearl Street from Queen St. to the parking lot entrance

The Streetsville Lions Club is hosting the Streetsville Terry Fox Run. To be held at Streetsville Memorial Park. Registration begins at 7:30 am and the mass start is at 8:15 Registration closes at 11:00 am There will be a BBQ and face painting for the little people No entry fee, a fun family event! Meeting of Mississauga City Council Mississauga City Council will change the location of the October 8th, 2008 Council meeting to the Streetsville Kinsmen and Senior Citizens Centre in honour of Streetsville's 150th Anniversary. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. The Streetsville Kinsmen and Senior Citizens Centre is located at 327 Queen Street South, north of Eglinton Ave. West. This meeting is 'Open to the Public' |

A Streetsville Family Event Once again Streetsville is planning the very popular "Spooktacular"event from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Location to be announced. Games, crafts, costume parade, face painting, and pumpkin carving are only a few of the activities planned. Streetsville celebrates Christmas with carolers in the Village - Nov. 29th, Dec. 6th, 13th, & 20th Every Saturday starting November 29th up until December 20th (just before the big day) you will find carolers in the shops and on the streets of Streetsville creating the perfect Christmas atmosphere to finish off that shopping list. |
